Bulletin Board

This is a place for RI riders to find and post information on local horse-related events (hunter paces, fundraisers, turkey trots, etc.). If you have an event to tell us about, please click HERE.

Please keep in mind that the events listed here are not RIHA recognized/sanctioned events; this is just
a way to spread the word!

HELP WANTED
HELP WANTED: New England Night Watch, LLC. provides a "horse watch service" for multi-day H/J shows in the New England area and they need more staff for this spring and summer.

The job is very straightforward. We walk through the show grounds at night, look at the horses and contact the trainer, groom or owner if we see anything that doesn't look right. The hours aren't great (approx. 9 PM to 5 AM) but the pay is great. I once had a person that worked for me 3 months part-time and was paid almost $4,000. I pay on a sliding scale depending on the number of horses but I do provide a guarantee per night.

I need people who are familiar with horses and who can spot the on-set of colic or recognize when a horse is cast. Again, the job involves looking and reporting, not actively "treating".

If you know of anyone who is interested in a well paying, part-time job, please have them contact John at jebahret@hotmail.com or 508-944-4084.
