Welcome!

The Rhode Island Horseman's Association Incorporated (RIHA) was established to encourage and promote all horse activities in Rhode Island, and to join together the horsemen of Rhode Island in a cooperative interest in horse activities, especially in horse shows and breeding.

This website is an effort to display information related to the RIHA in a user-friendly fashion. For more information about the RIHA, please visit the links in the menu above. If you have a membership or point question, please go to the Contact Board of Directors page.

Message from the RIHA President, Elizabeth Vars (1/21/2108):

"Once again, on behalf of the RIHA Board, I would like to thank everyone who attended the banquet for understanding about the lack of ribbons. Although the awards table looked bare, the trophy committee did a great job finessing an awkward situation. Thanks to the board members who brought "stand-in" ribbons so that all could still have a photo opportunity.

We would like to assure the membership that as soon as we have the ribbons in our possession everyone who won an award will receive it as soon as possible. Every effort will be taken in the future so that this does not happen again.

Never one to disappoint, Quidnessett Country Club did a beautiful job hosting the banquet as well as donating a golf foursome for the raffle. There was a good turnout for the evening and the little ones were the delight of the whole night...such big smiles!

This year's raffle had a variety of items...plush toys & books for the kids, a life-sized cardboard horse, a bridle, locally made sodas, grooming baskets and a few tote bags/backpacks plus a generous donation of an equine body clip from Equine Detailing. All in all we raised a little over $900! We appreciate anyone who donated money to the separate Folly Farm collection. Thanks everyone for their generosity and congratulations again to all the award winners. Good luck in the coming show season."

RIHA year-end division winner's ribbons will be mailed out by Thursday, February 1, 2018! Keep an eye on your mailboxes!
